Xiaomi has refreshed its laptop line-ups with new processors. The new Mi Laptop Pro 14 and Mi Laptop Pro 15 come with 11th-generation Intel Tiger Lake CPUs and a few other uplifts like an OLED screen. These laptops are currently available in China and might take a while before it appears in other global markets including India.
Let’s take a quick look at these new machines.
Xiaomi Mi Laptop Pro 14 and Mi Laptop Pro 15 prices
The base Mi Laptop Pro 14 costs RMB 5,299 (approx Rs 59,216) in China. Higher-speed SKUs will cost more, obviously. The Mi Laptop Pro 15 will retail at RMB 6,499 (approx Rs 72,626). Both notebooks will be available in two colours, namely Black and Silver.
Xiaomi Mi Laptop Pro 14 Specifications:
The Xiaomi Mi Laptop Pro 14 features a 14-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 2,500 x 1,600 (2.5K), 16:10 aspect ratio, 300 nits brightness, and covers 100% of the sRGB colour gamut. There is an option of 90Hz or 120Hz depending on which model you choose. The notebook is powered by a 56Wh battery that supports fast charging at 100W. Xiaomi claims a battery life of up to eleven hours on a single charge. The notebook weighs 1.5 kilograms.
Under the hood, there is an Intel Core i7-107370H or a Core i7-11300H Tiger Lake-H processor, the GPU can opt between Nvidia GeForce MX450 dGPU, or the integrated Intel Iris X3 iGPU. The notebook supports up to 16GB of DDR4 3,200MHz RAM and a 512GB NVMe SSD. There are Thunderbolt 4.0 ports that can output 8K video. Other features include a 720p webcam, pre-installed Windows 10 Home, TUV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification, and support for Xiaomi’s in-house Xiaomi AI assistant.
Xiaomi Mi Laptop Pro 15 Specifications:
There is not much difference between the Mi Laptop Pro 15 and the 14-inch model except for the obvious bigger display. There is a 15-6.inch OLED panel with a resolution of 3456 x 2160 (3.5K), 400 nits peak brightness, 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 and sRGB Gamut. Unlike the Mi Laptop 15, the refresh rate is 60Hz only.
The CPU, RAM, and storage specs are identical across both Xiaomi Mi Laptop Pro variants. However, it comes with significantly more input options, a total of four USB Type-C ports, two of which are Thunderbolt 4.0. Wireless connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0. The Mi Laptop Pro 15 also comes with a slightly larger 66Wh battery.
